When working out with sandbags we have five killer moves. However, there are 100s of possibilities to try.
Below, you will find a brief description and 30-second video showing you our favorite sandbag training moves.
Our 5 go to power moves will increase –
- Muscle tone

This is one killer move! Get down in a press up position with hands shoulder width apart. Sandbag should be placed next to you in line with your chest.
Now, reach under and explosively drag the sandbag to the other side of your body. Repeat with other arm.
Target Muscles –
This move will some great upper-body definition and strength. Furthermore, you can expect a flatter defined stomach.
Squat alt press
Nothing shapes the butt like a squat! Also, this is a massive calorie burner. In fact, this works virtually every major muscle in the body
Hold the sand bag by the straps but resting between your arms and chest. Have your feet shoulder width apart. Now, lower yourself down like you’re going to sit in a chair. Make sure you’re bending at the knees and not allowing the back to bend.
Once thighs are parallel to the floor push back up and press the sandbag above the head. Repeat.
Clean and press
Another massive calorie burner and strength builder. This should be included in every workout. it is ours!
Proper form is a must for deadlifts. Firstly, walk to the bag and get your toes as close to it as possible. feet should be shoulder width apart. Now, bend your knees until your shins are over the power bag.
Lift your chest and straighten your back your knees should now be straightening as well. Now upright, spin the bag so it rests in-between your forearms and chest and press bag above the head.
Burpee power clean and press
Nobody loves burpees! (if you do, I suggest seeing a shrink) Reason Being, they are brutal. As a matter of fact, your whole body feels this exercise. In spite of this, we have added a clean and press as well.
Moreover, this is an aerobic exercise, meaning it’s great for building your cardio. Start by placing the bag by your feet. drop into a squat and put hands on the bag. Now, kick legs out and immediately back in and thrust upwards.
Finish by following the instruction above.
These four moves are so powerful you will see changes pretty quickly. They are MASSIVE calorie burners and will develop strength quickly.
