    To be honest, I am quite glad I have a get-out clause as I am a vegetarian! I don’t like anything extreme but then I guess that means I won’t see weight loss any time soon. I’m clutching at straws here, but do you think if I up my weight training my BMR might go up sufficiently that I don’t need to do much else? (I doubt I will like your answer…)

      Hey Jean, I think you might like my answer. Simply put, you can’t out-train a bad diet. However, Eat sensibly and weight training is one of the best things for weight loss.

      Weight training increases muscle and strength. More muscles need more energy to burn so, in turn, you will burn more calories at rest. Therefore, as long as you are sensible with eating then you will see weight loss and body tone through weight training.

      the 3-week diet will certainly help with losing belly fat. How much weight do you have to lose? Keep in mind under you shouldn’t use a diet like this if you don’t have a lot to lose as the calorie reduction wouldn’t be healthy.

      You could get by on it being a vegetarian but you’d have to have loads of eggs instead of meat. Vegan, however, no chance come back soon as I’m researching a plan for vegans

    I always have problems with bouncing weight diets, I have done atkins lost 10 kilos and then put it all back on again in next to no time.
    This sounds a little more balanced but I would still go with the exercise because it is such a short time span I would want every chance I can to burn it before it is finished

      The problem with Atkins is how little carbs you have. Carbs are extremely important in a diet. Admittedly most of us eat too much especially simple carbs such as sweets and chocolate.

      With this plan, you do cut down on carbs and steadily introduce more carbs at the end of the diet therefore not putting it back on
