If you have a wedding coming up soon it doesn’t matter if you’re the bride, groom, bridesmaid, best man or even a guest you’ve probably got this thought running around your head “how to lose weight fast for a wedding”

The words lose weight and fast make me shudder, just like when you drag your nails down a blackboard, people tend to look for the quickest option and unfortunately there is a lot of false promises out there.

I hope you have given it at least four weeks before the wedding or your really going to be against the odds, don’t despair there is another way that I will tell you about later.

To get you in the best shape possible we are going to rely on both diet and exercise but not just any exercise, the quickest body fat burning exercises known.

“if something is important to you, you will find a way if its not you will find an excuse”

Firstly take a pen and a piece of paper and just jot down why losing weight is important, secondly, jot down this question “do I want to be slim just for the wedding?”

By making this statement you want to look at this as a lifestyle change and not just for the wedding, sure the wedding has motivated you but let’s face it once you feel better and healthier why would you want to put it back on, love doesn’t have to make you fat as some people say.

Take that note and stick it on the fridge or cupboard where your weakness is, what I mean is if you like crisps/chocolate stick it on the draw stop you opening it and do the same with the fridge and anywhere else that may make your wedding outfit bust at the seems.

How To Lose Weight Through Exercise


I am going to assume there is limited time to get you in shape so we need to use the very best exercise that is going to burn the most calories, whilst we are talking about calories you can’t out train a bad diet sorting your diet should be PRIORITY

You can choose to lose your body fat FREE or buy a few select items that I will tell you about later that are relatively cheap and extremely powerful tools.

The exercise principles I always advocate is high-intensity interval training, this is by far the quickest and safest method of how to lose weight fast for a wedding.

Stands to reason the more you exercise you do the more you  body fat you lose, but we are going to aim for three times a week for half an hour each time. you can do more for extra results.

Before attempting any exercises make sure to get permission from a medical professional first and warm up thoroughly 

Week 1,  

Day 1 body weight cardio 

  1. Star jumps 2.30 minutes
  2. Burpees 1 minute
  3. Star Jumps  2.30 minutes
  4. Rest 1 minute
  5. Mountain climbers 2.30
  6. Burpees 1 minute
  7. Star jumps 2.30
  8. Jog on spot for 2 minutes
  9. Rest for 2 minutes and repeat steps 1-8

Day 2 Lower body 

  1. Deep Squats  2.30 minutes
  2. Right leg lunge 2,30 minutes
  3. Left leg lunge 2.30 minutes
  4. Rest one minute
  5. Square jumps into squat 2.30 minutes
  6. Side lunge to the left for 1 minute
  7. Side lunge to the right for 1 minute
  8. Sumo squat 2 mins
  9. Rest for one minute and repeat steps 1-8

Day 3 Mix it up

  1. Star Jumps 1 minute
  2. Squats 1 minute
  3. Burpees 1 minute
  4. mountain climbers 1 minute
  5. Star jumps 1.30 minutes
  6. Squats 1.30 minutes
  7. Rest 1 minute
  8. Burpees 2.30 minutes
  9. Sumo squats 2.30 minutes
  10. Burpees for 2 minutes
  11. Rest for 1 minute and repeat steps 1-10

Easy right? Doesn’t matter if you can’t complete the full circuit just give it your maximum effort and go for the fifteen minutes if you need a longer rest then take it but you got to give it everything you have got.

Week 2 

Day 1 

  1.  Side lunge right leg knee to elbow  2 minutes
  2. Side lunge left leg knee to elbow  2 minutes
  3. Alternate side steps knee to elbow 2 minutes
  4. Upright mount climbers 2 minutes
  5. Rest 1 minute
  6. Squat to basketball shot 2 minutes
  7. Knee highs 2 minutes
  8. Burpees 2 minutes
  9. Rest 1-minute repeat steps 1-8

Day 2 Lower body

You just going to repeat from the first week, the reason why are we really want to target the big leg muscles to burn more calories, side effect especially for woman great bum and legs. let’s face it, it’s not just men who are partial to a good bum!

Day 3 mix it up

  1. Deep Squats  2.30 minutes
  2. Right leg lunge 2,30 minutes
  3. Left leg lunge 2.30 minutes
  4. Rest one minute
  5. Upright mountain climbers 2 minutes
  6. Knee highs 2 minutes
  7. Burpees 2.30
  8. Jog on spot for 1 minute
  9. Rest for 1 minute and repeat steps 1-8

That’s the first 2 weeks done now this is the bare minimum and ideally should be doing more but I think we can agree this is is easy to make time for unless it’s not important to you!

For the next two weeks, you’re going to follow week one and week two but with a twist….. you’re going to lower your rest period to 45 seconds for week 3 and only 25 seconds for week four, Also you can pick and mix the workouts, however, you must include the lower body routine.

Also try and go for a jog once a week, now that we have a good foundation we need to look at weight loss through diet.


A Wedding Diet


There is no specific diet that suits one person but there are rules to what you have in your diet, it should go with out saying you need to cut out the junk or totally reduce it this is a very powerful way of losing body fat.

Secondly you need to reduce as many refined carbohydrates as possible so basically anything man made, try and prepare your meals and include lots of protein rich food I will provide a list of foods that are going to do you wonders.

Another thing you want to increase is your fibre intake this will make you feel fuller and ward off cravings to over indulge.

High fibre foods

Aim for 18g a day

  • Beans and lentils
  • Veg such as broccoli
