Over the last few years we’ve seen the boom of the smoothie, so naturally to help us lose weight and bust some fat I am going to give you 2 fat busting healthy smoothie recipes for making your extra tyres deflate!
What I like about smoothies is they are quick, easy and relatively cheap to make, they taste amazing and not to mention its virtually the quickest way to get your five fruit and veg a day.
There are NO limits to what you can blend just chuck in a blender and if it’s a horrible outcome then modify it for next time, I have seen some trainers put together mad combinations and still taste great.
You don’t have to spend a fortune but must be half decent as you want that pulp and to be fully blended.
Why make your own smoothies.
Firstly there expensive from shops and you don’t get a lot for your money and you know exactly what’s in them as you know there won’t be any preservatives or added sugar which aren’t going to help the waistline.

Let us look at your morning ritual….. research shows many people skip breakfast and this is a big NO NO! - 150 grams of blackberry’s
- 1 scoop of chocolate whey protein( I buy mine at protein works)
- 1 banana
- 240 ml of unsweetened almond milk
- 257 calories (approx)
Throw all these in a blender and you are ready to fight fat from the word go.

- High in dietary fibre.
- Very high in vitamin C.
- High in vitamin E.
- Very high in Manganese.

Morning furnace smoothie
The smoothie of the weight loss champions! This delicious recipe is not hot but will fire up your metabolism to torch extra calories by doing nothing.
The super foods ingredients in this smoothie have been shown to help break down fat cells by increasing the hormone leptin and the added caffeine will help you feel awake.
- 150 grams of frozen strawberries
- 170 grams of vanilla non-fat greek yoghurt
- 8 almonds
- 70 grams of broccoli remove stems
- 1 teaspoon of flaxmeal
- 180 ml of iced green tea
- 55 grams of cannellini or garbanzo beans
- Half a teaspoon of cinnamon
Put all these nutrient rich items into your blender and blend until smooth and then just add cinnamon for finishing touch.
