One of the hardest parts about busting stubborn belly fat is knowing and understanding food, there is so much conflicting information that’s given to us on a daily basis,  and alot of it is not relevant or the information that is given don’t explain any kind of impact it has on our health or just as important our midsection, along with other flabby areas.

How many of you reading this think “fats” make you fat? or “carbs”are the enemy? none of these statements are true and will explain why further down this page.

This is probably the most important part of your diet to comprehend…….. enjoy what you’re eating!. Because if you don’t you will not have long term success. Remember this is a lifestyle change, not a quick fix, if you can’t sustain a plan for the rest of your life then its worthless and you’re putting yourself through stress that can be avoided.

Also, I would just like to say  if you fancy a pizza, pack of crisp or any other kind of “junk food” then have it but in moderation, don’t deny yourself of life’s pleasures you really don’t need too!

Let’s talk about different types of food and what they are all food can be broken down into three main categories- Fats, Protein and Carbohydrates.

In the industry these are called macro-nutrients “macro” means large so basically you have to consume  these nutrients in large amounts in your everyday diet.  these nutrients are essential in keeping your body functioning normally. Below I will give a basic explanation of  each one  and what the main purpose is they will be explained in lot more depth in the Food & Diet categories

FATS– had a bad reputation over the years but fats are essential for survival, they help with growth and development, cushioning organs absorbing minerals, maintaining cells and providing energy. Commonly found in fish, nuts, dairy products and some meats.

PROTEIN– contributes to making essential hormones and enzymes, tissue repair, growth (more important in pregnant woman teens and children) and healthy immune system.

CARBOHYDRATES- “Carbs” are the main energy source for your body and shouldn’t be neglected to lose weight also needed for the heart, brain kidneys to function properly. your body will convert unused energy into fat  mainly found in starchy food.

on a daily basis your body needs a certain amount of calories to perform well ( calories is another word for energy) for woman it’s 2000 and men 2500 on average, if you don’t burn calories off, you will undoubtedly get more blubber, at were going to help you find what’s right for you!.
