    I’m not overweight, but I’ve become much more aware of how I feel when I eat certain foods or engage in (or omit) certain habits. I just yesterday noticed I’d gained 3 pounds in July. I didn’t need the scale to tell me – I could feel it. And I know how it happened … a few extra sugary, wheat-based “treats,” not drinking quite as much water as I am used to and the odd meal here and there where I ate too much bread or potatoes or things like that.

    I find that, when I focus in, drop the sugar/wheat, get more water into me and a few more salads and less sandwich-type stuff (bread), I drop weight a few pounds quickly, provided I’m still exercising and sleeping well.

    A few little things make a big difference over time. The compound effect!
